Halda festival starts in Lahaul-Spiti; know more about this Festival

Lahaul's conventional Halda celebration has launched in Lahaul-Spiti. The celebration is commended by the locals of Gahar, Chandra, and Pattan valleys for a month. Held each year in the second or third seven day stretch of January, neighborhood members sing melodies and dance in cheer during the celebration. 

Halda Festival is like Diwali and starts on a full moon day. It is principally devoted to Shishkar Apa, who is accepted to be the goddess of abundance in the Lamaistic pantheon.
