Rajasthan's first cruise is scheduled to begin operations on Ajmer's Ana Sagar lake in March, adding another attraction to the district which is already known for the shrine of Sufi saint Khwaja Moinuddin Chisti and Brahma temple.
The double-decker cruise will have a capacity of 150 passengers and will offer not only rides but also the ability to host small events and parties. The cruise service is expected to generate an annual income of INR 66.5 lakh for the corporation.
The Assistant Engineer, Ravindra Saini, mentioned that the cruise route will be different from that of the boats currently operating on the lake. Ticket prices have not yet been determined and will be set by the contractor after approval by the Corporation.
The cruise will have a restaurant and can be booked for private events. The surrounding area of the lake has also been developed with amenities such as pathways, eateries and more, and is already attracting a large number of tourists.
